Re: Haven
"Lucario, take Leon and GET TO THE POKEMON CENTER! I need EVERY trainer at the river immediately! All civilians need to get to the department store basement level right away! This was it, then. No more time for planning, and no time to consider retreat. Fora brief second, Leon contemplated it anywa...

Re: Haven
Leon nodded, wordlessly. Here was his place. Here, the lessons that had been learned at the cost of so many Rai lives could be put in to action. "Let's go." He smiled. "Although I'm sure you would prefer to go with Crux, Ludavius." The Machamp grinned in turn. "The thought had crossed my mind." Addr...

Re: Haven
Leon watched the conversation attentively. He had come when Ingram had requested - but not directly. He was willing to fight with these strangers, perhaps, but he was far too much of a pragmatist to act as this man's bodyguard. He and Ludavius had watched as Crux entered the city, far enough away th...

Re: Haven
Leon and Ludavius mutely walked over to Tobias. Truth be told, Leon had considered chasing after Ingram - if a threat was coming into the city proper, it would be a good chance for Ludavius to use his guns that would be all but worthless in the sandstorm proper. But Ingram had apparently not wanted ...

Re: Haven
"Ah, yes." Leon said, keeping the embarrassment out of his voice. "Forgive me. Where I come from we have long since learned each other's names, and while I could figure out yours on reputation alone I'm sure you've been denied the reciprocal privilege. I am Leon, an Auroch - that is, wandering warri...

Re: Haven
Leon nodded. It was a lot to take in. He had only been in Haven for a couple of hours. His presence at this meeting was pure chance: a scouting military band had noticed his black gi denoting him as a Rai-Auroch, and had requested his help. Leon had complied out of idle curiosity more than anything ...

Re: Revival of the Pokemanz
Oh jeez. I have not been here in a long, long time. :/
Go on without me, and hell, I might even join in again. But I don't really have a desire to run the show. (Though I welcome any AIM theorycrafting!)

Re: AH1N1: Getting shot or not?
I hope you know that I'm not talking about flu vaccinations when I say that. I'm talking about the ones people usually get when they are born, like polio, smallpox, measles, etc. Those things can make you literally grow up stupider, and if given at later points in life can cause lasting growth prob...

Re: AH1N1: Getting shot or not?
Don't worry, I know what cancer is. :p What I'm saying is that cancer is something breaking more than a real disease, and HIV mutates so much that the immune system is basicially worthless. The flu can't really be vaccinated against for much the same reason. It mutates a lot, and it doesn't target a...

Re: AH1N1: Getting shot or not?
Yeah but the flu's entire thing is mutating significantly! Kind of the same reason we can't vaccinate for HIV or cancer. I agree in that I wouldn't call it a ploy as much as a pressure. There are a lot of people who can't accept the idea that there is an epidemic disease that's going to spread, infe...

Re: AH1N1: Getting shot or not?
Vaccinations are very normally the absolute opposites of a waste of money, but yeah, in the case of the flu they don't matter so much. There are simply so many variants that the odds of the flu antigen matching yours are pretty small. At least such is my understanding.
