Eh ill join but dont expect an exelent story

Image
Zephrus is an ornithologist from the Karud region and the town Eoyin (The port I think) He was one of the leading authoritys on Bird Pokemon before the war. His facination with bird dates back To when he was young watching flocks of Wingulls on the shoreline and Piers. He even saved A few of his pokemon from the wild others were used in his lab for reaserch and one was confiscated from an illagle group. Once the war started he begun on A mission to determine the status of the wild birds sence the war begun.

Image
Zelos/Pidgeot/Female
One of the bird that was used in his lab to study bird aerodynamics Zelos was bred for hunting other pokemon. She was one of her previous owners finest birds but her personality was problematic. She always wanted to be the best among the birds they kept even attacking a few of them to enshure her spot at the top of the pecking order. In battle she is incredibly fast but suspectable to injury.

Image
Kratos/Blaziken/Male
The pokemon that was confiscated from the illeagle organization. He is very strong and violent and has attacked Zephrus on many occasions and dosent listen to him. However he listens to Crovus which is unfortunate for Zephyrus. In battle he ignores most orders and is nearly immpossible to stop from attacking... in fact all he does is attack attack attack and attack occasionally to the point where his foes life is in danger.

Image
Boreas/Pellipper/Male
A lazy seabird that constantly tried to get into Zephyruses lab window because he was givin food by Zephyrus before. Zephryrus did everything in his power to disuade it but to no avail... so as a last resort he captured it and the bird didnt care. in battle He is strong but Very lazy.

Image
Atropos/Xatu/Male
Atropos is A pokemon that was born in the wild but was abandond by its parents when it fell out of the nest and bonked its head on the ground. Due to this incident and natrual inborn psychic abillitys Atropos is Mentaly unstable and thus one that has to be moniterd closely by Zephyrus. In battle He is by far the most poweful and destructive of his pokemon but is exhausted Very Quickly.

Image
Razor/Skarmory/Male
The bird that was rescued by zephyrus after the war began. He found Razor near death out near the westren masses. His former trainer dead razor decided to go with Zephyrus. even though his wounds were healed he would never fly again. In battle Razor is a defensive fighter.

Image
Crovus/Murcrow/Male
One of the lab kept birds Crovus has incredible speaking abillitys and Intellegence however he has A problematic Personality however he trusts Zephyrus but never stays in a pokeball and will mock Freind and Foes Alike. In actual combat Crovus is the most balanced of his pokemon.

Mod Notes:
I'm sorry, but while I'm not expecting an "excellent story", this RP is being held to much higher standards than your garden variety sort. I don't think this is the RP for you.

Trainer History:
*Khgkt*---*Whirr*---*Click*
To protect the world from devastation,
To unite all peoples within our nation,
To denounce the evils of truth and love,
To extend our reach to the stars above,
----------*Scrrrch*----------
Team *Krch* blast off at the speed of light!
Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Sigh, That's how it went eh? I remember those times...

Lemme lay something down for ya. Ya probably thought ole Team Rocket was big and bad and covered in hair, eh? Well that just ain't so. Sure, we were pictured as thieves, as criminals and folk that stole other's pokemon. But think about this. Did you EVER hear a story, about how they got away with it?...Didn't think so, heh. We were the noble villians that society needed, so that it may be perfect. The legendary's kept the truce. Sure. But there is no perfect society, without crime or flaw. So, we were created to be that flaw. With us, society could look at themselves and say "Hey, at least we don't have folk like that here". I wasn't high up, you know, so I can't say if everything was manufactured, or if Big G really meant some of his schemes. But I do know I didn't join up to rape and plunder. I joined for a cause. Something bigger then myself.

Then the world crashed. And the Legendaries flew the coop. Man that hit hard. The tech started going down, power stopped running and chaos was rampant. At the time I was assigned to guard one of Big G's research facilities, we were running on Nuclear power or something, so we still had tech...and that kept us together...for a while. Time passed, and still no word came from the CC, or even other outposts. The chain of command broke, and folks got testy. Many were the times I heard the rattle of gunfire and the heavy-impact of military-grade Poketech's, deeper in the facility. I kept my head down, holed up in my section and tried to wait it out. Thought maybe, just maybe, this thing'd blow over, and we'd be right as rain.
Didn't work. It was a thursday. I remember that well enough. Someone hit the wrong switch I suppose, or maybe one of those fights finally broke something. Whatever the reason the Alarms went off. The alarms you drill for but never want to hear in a Nuclear plant. Meltdown.

Soon as I heard those sirens man I hit the ground running, took my few pokemon and ran...Except for one thing...The area I was supposed to be guarding had it's door open. Bodies lay strewn around, both poke and human. Inside, on a pedestal bathed in light, there was a single, black pokeball. With no time to lose I went on an impulse and grabbed it, and then ran like my life depended on it. It did by the way. None of the vehicles worked anymore, and I knew as I ran into the nearby town I wouldn't make it on foot in time. So, throwing out The Pest, I told him to cover me with his liquid body composed of who knows what. Maybe I would die from his poison. Maybe we would both die from the blast. It was a gamble, with me Ace high and both of our lives in the pot.

The facility boomed. That's the only way I can describe it. I remember the impact, the sound rushing to fill the void moments later, me and Pest flying high in the air, the incredible searing heat. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think, I couldn't move, Oh god I couldn't breathe!

Things went white. That's about all I remember about that. Sometime later, I woke up in a forest clearing somewhere. I was beat up, sick as hell, with a massive sunburn to boot, and the Pest looked like he had seen better days, but by god we were alive, and that was the only thing that mattered to me at the time. I thanked my lucky star's that day, and since then I've called myself "Lucky G". New world, new name eh? I've been traveling the world. Mostly staying to myself, helping out when I can. Maybe one day I'll start Team Rocket again, once the day's calm down enough that we actually need them again. Heh, who knows...Maybe one day they'll call Me Big G...Won't that be a lark.

Trainer Mentality: Lucky G is an easy going guy, just happy to be alive in such a dark and dangerous world. He's not above offering to help those in need, but he's not so compassionate as to help those who have scorned him, insulted him, or been actively hostile to him. He care's about his first three pokemon deeply, as they have been with him for a while, and while Zen and The Kid are fairly new he has come to trust them more and more and think about them as part of his group. His sixth pokemon he will never talk about, unless specifically asked over and over. While he isn't the sort to use violence as his first method of problem-solving, he knows its inevitable in the current day and age. That's why he train's with a pair of thick-bladed but easily concealable switch-blades. He's also a fair shot with a gun, but dislikes them because they are tools specifically created for killing, while knives have other uses. He's quick to make friends, and slow to make enemies, but don't expect him to bend over and take abuse. He stands up for himself and his group of pokemon.

Lineup:

Image -- Pestilence // Muk - Poison
=The Pest here was my first pokemon, he was given to me as a Grimer way back when I first joined TR. Big G had a theme going see, so we all were supposed to have at least one poison/dark/ground pokemon. He ain't that smart, but then who expects a personified glob of toxic waste to be smart. Nonetheless, me and The Pest have been through some rough times, and I've always stuck by him thick and thin. Me and him are like souls, and'll be pals to the end. These days...never know when that'll be though...The Pest gets on real well with the other's though, and if I didn't know better, I'd say he thought of himself as a kinda father figure. Dunno how the hell he figures that but hey, who am I to knock love eh? (Can talk, but doesn't have a broad vocabulary, talk's kinda like his owner)

Battle Notes: Pestilence uses his massive girth and toxic body to his advantage in battle, attempting to grapple and then smother an opponent until defeat. While not technically "strong" his large mass can overpower most medium-sized pokemon. His liquid-toxic body also has the advantage of being very tough to injure. Most physical attacks just sink in and do nothing. Can also issue clouds of toxic gas and balls of sludge that can throw.

+==================+======================+

Image -- Rocky the V // Rhydon - Ground/Rock
=Hey man, here's a tip. Don't diss the Rock. It just ain't smart ya know? Rocky here is the so-called "muscle" of the group. When you need some head's cracked or some door's broke, he's yer poke. Took me and The Pest a hella long time to catch him, had to practically drive him into the ground. He pretty smart to( at least for a Rhydon), but he sure ain't an Alakazam. Him and Buz-Ze got something of a rivalry goin' on, always trying to outdo the other. They act like they ain't friends but I know they got each other's back.

Battle Notes: In battle Rocky tries to use his large stature and usually superior strength to quickly force his enemy into submission. His stamina, while large, can be depeleted if he has to fight in a sustained battle, which is the reason for the above strategy. If ordered by Lucky G, he will use the lethal Horn Drill attack, but doesn't like to resort to lethal force.

+==================+======================+

Image -- Buz-Ze // Electabuzz - Electric
=Now Mr. B's an interestin' character. Way back when I first joined TR, I was sent on a cake-walk mission with my partner. Some power-plant had been knocked out, and TR wasn't scheduled to cause havoc in that area at the time. Part of TR's job was to make sure other Criminal organization's didn't muscle in on our turf, see, so we were sent to check it out. So we get there, and what do we find? A whole nesta Electabuzz had holed up and were drainin' the place dry. Couldn't let that happen see, so we started to send em packin'. Now Electabuzz can get quite a temper when you bug 'em, and it was no surprise a few of them started fightin' back. Buz-Ze here was one of those, who after I beat him to a pulp (not literally folk's, I ain't that kinda guy) I caught on a whim. At first he resented being caged, but in time he channeled the resentment into fighting and training. (Can talk in broken sentences, enough to get the basic idea across. Probably couldn't improve)

Battle Notes: Buz-Ze is mostly a range specialist. His preferred style of combat is to keep his distance and pick at his opponents with his surprisingly long range electrical attacks until they drop from either exhaustion or damage. He is capable of creating sizeable thunder bolts, but these have limited effect vs large and heavy-set pokemon, or those who are his opposite type.

+==================+======================+

Image -- Zen // Lucario - Fighting/Steel
=Hoo, boy...Zen huh? I ain't gunna lie. That guy's an oddball even in my group. I encountered Zen after the Big bang and the collapse of the treaty. I was walking through some forest, I forget the name, keeping one hand in my coat ready for any ferals, when I pass by this clearing. Inside, I see a Lucario doing what looked like martial art forms. Now I wasn't any expert, but I had watched martial art tourny's on the screen a few times, and I recognized this stuff as the real deal. I came into this clearing, still keeping one hand on my coat of course, and sat down as I watched the beautiful forms of a nameless style. After they finished, I slowly stood up and made to leave. The Lucario blocked my way. "My name, human, is Zen. This forest is under my protection. Defeat me and I shall let you pass, be defeated and you shall forfeit your life. If you so wish, you may retreat. I have no need to fight cowards." I made a shrug, gave a debonair smile and said "Sure, whatta I got to lose?" The Lucario nodded and assumed a battle pose. As I went for my Pokeballs, he called out, "Use as many of your companions as you so wish. I do not want for this to be one-sided." A little miffed at his casual arrogance, I threw aside my hat and let out all three of my Poke's.
That was the longest fight of my life. I swear I could feel it shiftin' in my hands. Zen casually took everything I threw at him and tossed it back, with extra. Rocky threw punches that shook the earth, and he side-stepped like a pro. Buz drew lighting and thunder from above, bolt's easily half the size of a man, and he absorbed every one. The Pest sought to smother him in his all-encompassing girth, but was woefully outmatched. Finally, it was down to just me and The Pest, like it usually gets. I knew that, without the treaty and the legendaries to enforce it, this lucario really would kill me if I lost...So I decided I couldn't. I had been studying Zen as he was fighting, and I could tell he was beginning to slow. All through the fight I had had The Pest blast him with clouds of his special toxic gas, which me and my group had build up a tolerance to. Seeing Rocky and Buz down, Zen took that as the chance to end the fight once and for all, but he made a mistake. Even as he charged to smite The Pest once and for all, he faltered and then fell, incapable of movement. I knew first hand what the Pest's gas does to folk...How do you think I built up that tolerance? Zen lay on his knee's, struggling with all his might to stand, to fight, to finish these people he knew were inferior. But ya can't fight off poison with force of will mate. It marches through your veins and it does it's work, oh yes it does...I was the victor, even Zen could see it as he ceased his jerking, spasmic struggle. Recalling my poke's to their balls, I slowly walked up and stood in front of his now still form. "Well?" he gasped through a jaw locked shut from paralysis. "Aren't...you...going...to...finish...me?" Letting loose a sigh I looked up at the bright blue sky. "Nah...Killin' folk's just ain't my style ya know? Better to live and let live, then live to let die..." He stared at me with his bright red eyes. Maybe he understood, maybe he didn't. Don't ask me, I'm no poke reader. Returning my hat to my head, I started off out of the clearing.

"Wait."

I turned around, looking back towards where Zen was. He was struggling to his feet, it was amazing that his body was responding at all with all the poison he had inhaled. Finally, after a full five minutes he stood facing me, and I casually dipped one hand into my coat, unsure if he would try attacking in his condition. However, instead of assuming a battle stance, he bowed to me, and spoke these lines. "You have shown me...that I have...still much to learn...that I am not so great...as I once thought. You who...have defeated me...I submit to you, take me with you...that I might train alongside you and become even greater..." I could tell it took alot of effort to say these things, especially for one so proud as he. Of course, I accepted, for it would be a great asset to have a pokemon of such strong will and dedication on my team. It's hard to even think of him as a poke really...but it just goes to show. Us humans and those pokemon ain't so different, in some ways.

Battle Notes: Zen is one fearsome fighter. He has been training for a very long time, and has perfected his own style of martial arts. His aura abilities allow him to almost(but not quite) see his opponents moves before they make them, and that combined with his intellect allows him to be a very skilled tactician. His Steel type let's him soak a surprising amount of damage for a pokemon his size, especially if it's damage from a type Steel is strong against. However, Zen is reluctant to fight those weaker then himself, as he is always seeking a challenge to improve.

Image -- The Kid // Tyrogue - Fighting
=Well, The Kid is...The Kid of the group. I remember when I got him to, just like it was yesterday...I was bunkin' down in a small town, after the Big Bang I wandered around for quite some time, not sure where to go or where I belonged. There weren't many trainer's, so to keep the feral's at bay they had a huge wall made up of broken tech that couldn't be used anymore. Ever since the Big Bang, folk's have just been less friendly, less willing to help others at no cost. I could feel their mistrusting eyes follow me every day I stayed there. Likely if I had mentioned I used to be in TR they might've lynched me. Rough day's we live in, rough days...Anyway, I had only planned on stayin' for a few days, to get some supplies and rest up before movin' on. But fate turned against me, and a large clan of feral's laid seige to the small town. It would be suicide to just walk right out the front gate, so I stayed and helped fend them off. Those were long days and long nights. I didn't like the cold fact of killin' those ferals, but I knew it was us or them...And every man's an animal when it comes to survival...

Finally, the local "mayor" of the town called a meeting. The seige had been going for more then a week now, and supplies were getting low. He asked for a volunteer among the Trainers to attempt to sneak out and find the leader of this particular clan of feral's and "dispose" of him, and hopefully without their leader the rest would disband. There was a long silence, with noone stepping forward to submit to this surely suicidal mission. With a mental sigh, I knew what had to be done. Late that night, when the feral's attack's slightly cut back in their ferocity, I snuck out from a side-entrance that the mayor had shown me. Walked silently through a quiet forest. Kept my eye's open for any feral's. Slowly, I began to see a light in the distance. Coming closer, the light became larger and more bright. It was a bonfire, surrounded by a virtual mass of feral's, each and everyone of them dancing in the flickering light of the fire. Behind this bonfire, seated on a throne of human bone's sat a large and elder-looking Hitmonlee, draped in a variety of mystical looking charms made from all manner of things. His eye's held an evil light, and if he had a mouth I'm sure it would have been curled in a self-satisfied smirk. Several female's gathered around him, each bickering for his attentions. As I watched, he raised a single hand, and the mass of feral's ceased their tromping and stomping. A Hitmonchan appeared beside him, and he began to speak. "Hear ye, Pokemon of Clan Bonefoot. Our great and mystical leader, Bonefoot himself, has recieved a message from his seer. Tomorrow, we shall finally conquer those evil and terrible humans who once held dominion over us all!" The crowd of feral's roared their approval to the night sky. The Hitmonlee on the throne held up his hand again, and silence reigned. The Hitmonchan began to speak again. "Tomorrow, on the first light of the Great Circle, we shall charge their wall and devour them in our all-mighty number. They shall die before us, they shall pay for their sins, and we shall be victorious!" Once more, the Hitmonchan was drowned out in a vast roar from the crowd. Once more the Hitmonlee known as Bonefoot raised his hand, and silence reclaimed them. I could feel my pokemon, crying in my mind for me to flee before it was to late. Zen himself said that there were to many to fight, to many to take with what few we had. But I couldn't do that, I made a promise to those folk in that village, and Lucky G alway's delivers.

Rushing from my hiding spot, I threw two Pokeball's hard and fast. The Pest and Rocky jumped forth, ready to do battle in an instant. Releasing a large cloud of toxic gas into the area, The Pest caused wide-spread panic almost immediantly. Meanwhile, Rocky was bulldozing his way through Bonefoot's personal guard of Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, desperately trying to reach the clan leader quickly. Their varied fighting moves hit him, a few of them hit pretty hard to, but he managed to shake them off and dish it back. I ran up behind him, after ordering The Pest to keep up the crowd control. Slipping one of my trusty Switchblades out, I flicked it up, jumped the last distance and made to stab that sonuvagun.

I was flying. I hit the ground hard, and I saw Rocky do the same an instant later. Next I felt a throbbing ache, like I had been hit in the gut with a hammer. Bonefoot was standing now, slowly walking towards us. That same evil gleam in his eye intensified. He knew he had us. I scrambled for my second knife, knew I wouldn't make it in time, and offered a prayer to whatever lay above. This was the end. Except it wasn't. I looked up and saw The Pest grappling with Bonefoot. His quick and strong kicks doing almost nothing to the personified blob of waste and goo. Finally he managed to grasp him in his in-exhaustible hold. Seeing my chance, I got up as quick as I could, gut screaming in my mind that it needed attention, attention I couldn't give. Flicking my second knife out, I rushed up and slammed into blade-deep, hilt-deep into the massive Clan leader. I dragged it down and across, just like I trained. Nothing would survive that much internal damage. The gleam in his eye's was gone, now they were just faded gem's that had lost their luster. My body ached and throbbed, telling me that now was the time to collapse and end it, but I knew if I fell here it would all be over. The clan, enraged at the attack but fearful of this group who had taken down their leader, were slowly edging towards us. Recalling Rocky, I threw out Buz and told him to make a spectacle. The clan was frightened off, maybe never to return. Finally I could rest...A shape threw it self out of the darkness. Surprised I cried out in fear, but it was only a small Tyrogue, his blows barely strong enough to hurt. It must have been a child of Bonefoot, or maybe one of his guards. Almost pitifully I ordered The Pest to hit him with knock-out gas, and then I captured him. He's grown stronger since then. Stronger in both mind and body. I think he still hates me, but I look on him like I do all my pokemon...As part of the family.

Battle Notes: The Kid is a solid fighter. Not excelling in any one area, but doing well in all. Since he has yet to evolve, he doesn't pack as much of a punch as Lucky G's other pokemon, so he isn't often used when fighting feral's.

Image -- Imperius // Shadow Charizard - Dark/Fire/Flying
=Uh...No. I can't talk about him. No way man, I'd get expelled from TR--. Right...*sigh*. The Big bang blew and man, how the mighty fell eh? Yeah, guess there's nothin' stopping me from telling anyone about the Imperium Projects anymore...Alright, remember how I said Team Rocket were supposed to be the noble villians of our era? Well...Listen man. No thing made by mortal hands can ever be perfect, for we by nature are inherently flawed. My maw taught me that, said it was from the bible or some such. I dunno if it was Big G, the military, or some other company or something. But Someone ordered the beginning of the Imperium Projects. What were the Imperium Projects ya ask? Well, for starters, I know they had military application. Like I said, I dunno if the military requested it or not, but I know it was created for a military purpose. An attempt to create a so-called "Perfect Pokemon". Not a legendary, hell no. Even Big G wasn't that greedy. But what if you could take a pokemon, and make it more then what it was. Not just Fire and Flying but Dark too. Not just Fighting but Fighting and Steel. Not just Ground and Rock but Poison to. You catch my drift right? The more Types you tack on a Poke the more weaknesses it get's, right? But what if, just imagine what if you had a pokemon that was every type. What would it's weaknesses be then? Well, I would say just about nothing really, but that's just me. They didn't get that far, I don't think. And if they did then all their research is burnt into the ground at the ruins of the old Facility. But they did succeed in making Imperius. And by god he scares the bejeesus out of me...I've only taken him out of his specially crafted pokeball once. Me and my team were surrounded by the biggest pack of Feral grass poke's I had seen, ever. Rock and Buz were almost down for the count, and The Pest was tiring, I could tell. I had one option, throw the black ball or become plant food. So I threw it. You know how I said when the facility blew the world went white? Well, when I threw that ball the world went black. That's the only way I can describe the explosion of raw power I felt as the pokemon known as Imperius was released. Roaring his freedom to the sky, he towered over almost all of the ferals, and even those who were as big if not bigger felt cowed, and smaller in his presence. If pokemon could be said to smile evilly, he did so. "You call upon me, the greatest creature this world has known since the legendaries were broken, to do battle with these vermin? Know your place, petty human. I will indeed destroy these morsals, if only so that I may have the undeniable pleasure of killing you myself." His voice was low, smooth and cultured, seeming almost impossible to come from such a creature. He tore through that feral clan like a hot knife through so much warm butter, their many attacks noticably wounding him, but he showed no sign of slow or pain. Finally, the entire clan lay dead, and he stood there before me, his eyes glowing like hell-fire personified. Words escaped him. I knew in my heart he had submitted himself to an unearthly rage, beyond all reason or compassion. He charged me and my team mouth agape, dark flames billowing forth. Desperately I raised the black pokeball, racing for my life to recall him before he killed me and my friends, my one chance...
Well it's needless to say if I managed to make it in time. I mean, I am here right? But not unwounded...no, not unwounded. If not in body then in soul, to see so many pokemon, however misguided killed that day...

Battle Notes: Lucky G views his possesion of The Black Heart Ball to be more of a guardianship thing then anything else. He carries it to ensure that noone of more evil intent would attempt to use it for their own goals. He would almost NEVER use Imperius as doing so is almost guaranteed death. At the present time, he has no control at all over Imperius, so even if he did release him he would be in severe danger. If, for whatever reason, Imperius is released, I would like for the GM currently in charge to take control of his actions, if only so I'm not tempted to go easy on myself.

Other:
Uhm so yeah. I know the whole "surviving a nuclear meltdown by covering myself in a Muk" is kinda un-plausible, but damnit, for all it's kid-friendly nature Pokemon is an Anime. And I wanted to do something anime over-the-top-ish.

Mod Notes:
This has certainly changed a lot...approved, but I'm still watching you on the power issue. Ten times a day, repeat to yourself: Lucario is not any stronger than an average trainer pokemon. Then you should be good to go.

Trainer: Bobby Maximillion

Story: After Living At Mt. Moon in Kanto Region, I've Found SINNOH REGION! Theres Interesting Pokemon At Sinnoh. I Have Met other Mountain Men like me and became friends with them, i still didnt keep my mind from pokemon. :D (Note, Bobby has quite the imagination)

Bones, Marowak:As I was walking in the mountains I Got SUCKED into a new demension. Within this new dimension, I realized I had actually entered the underworld! Within it, I beheld mountains upon mountains of bones and with those bones, I witness armies of Marowak; And obviously against was the one and only, HADES! I fought him to the finish, it twas a truely epic game of ROSHAMBO!!! Once I won, one of the Marowak followed out of the underworld and I sealed him within a HELL BALL, a gift from HADES for defeating him!

Licky, LickiLicky- As I was Traveling the forest, i encountered many pokemon. Out of all those pokemon there was one that was MIGHTIER THAN ALL, LICKiLICKY!!! I Was observing him As he kept trying to touch that tongue of his. After Hours of observation, I went to help that LickiLicky, As I Helped Him, He Did a Flip and rolled out of sight, Orrr just behind me. I Caught That Strong Creature of DOOOM!!

En Fuego, Quilava- With my pokemon I thought that i could do some fighting, so I tried to go in a volcano. As I was falling i made Licky use stockpile (on Air! :D) and it became a parachute for me and bones. We were steaming like hot water. As we were struggling, a QUILAVA came and attacked, I didn't want my pokemon to get hurt so i took marowak's bone and fought it (then caught).

Spook, Dusknoir- After My Huge Adventure in the mountains and forest's, I decided to go to a city for a while. There was none in sight. After a while of searching, there was a mansion in sight, It looked a little funny it was a F.U.N Acadamey for kids, Atleast it was somewhere, I Entered. They were all MIME JR.! They were all screaming (pokemon style) and running around. I Didn't know why, so I searched that "mansion" And I kept hearing noises. It Was Kind of scary. People say I'm crazy for being a Pokexplorer. Yes, the ferals are dangerous. Yes, trying to research them is suicide. But, hey, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.....

Ah! Where are my manners? Name's Johann. Please don't ask for my full name; you'll probably fall asleep before I finished. As I was saying, I've been in the Pokexplorer business for....I want so say, six years? Moved outta the house at 18. Uncle of mine, Gian Paulo, he taught me the buisness. Started me off on the right foot...and that foot just stepped into the bear trap after all hell broke loose here. People think I'm even working for the ferals now. Ain't it crazy? Do? Oh, Pokexplorers do what you'd kinda imagine; we just...explore. Write down notes, take photos, all that stuff. Wait...what are you staring a-oh. These babies. Yeah, you counted right. Six. Wanna know how I got them? Then listen up......

ImageMarconi//Male, Dusknoir
Johann received Marconi from Gian Polo as a starter, when he was a Duskull. He was 18 at the time.
Marconi's one slippery bastard. I almost regret sometimes that Gian Paolo gave him to me. Crafty, sly, malicious...it's like he was made to piss me off or something. And he hates me back. He hates everyone on my team....well, except Kria. Kria follows Marconi like a dog chases after a car. But...for all his faults, he has his uses. Whip 'im out, and he can send anyone running. But I gotta keep my eye on him. You never know....

Battle Notes: Marconi's the main striker. He usually can incapacitate smaller Pokes temporarily just by scaring then, but when fighting a real opponent, he employs a devastating three-hit combo of shadow attacks, becoming incorporeal when his foe attacks, and spewing snarky insults.

ImageKria//Female, Shuppet
Johann received Kria by capturing her in her lair inside Johann's attic. He was 18 at the time.
Kria, Kria, Kria....there's not much to say about her. She's so shy around people...well, except for Marconi. Kria's like Marconi's pet or something. She insists that she get outta this 'ere ball whenever her "honey" is battling. I have no idea why. Poketosterone, maybe?

Battle Notes: Kria's next to useless in battle. If forced to fight, she uses shadow moves as a smokescreen to buy time for Marconi to swap out with her.

ImageImhotep//Male, Ninjask
Johann received Imhotep when exploring an ancient Marowhack pyramid. He was 20 at the time.
Imhotep's probably the most....antisocial of my team. At least Marconi will talk to you or insult you. But Imhotep....he's in his own little world. I keep wondering if he's maybe half-crazy from hanging in that pyramid for so long. As conversation lacking as he is, he's invaluable in the field. You need a scout? Imhotep. You need hit-and run? Imhotep. You need a quick getaway? Guess who?

Battle Notes: Imhotep usually uses his superior mobility to fly around, swoop in, slash with his claws, and swoop out. Incredibly annoying in battle, but he gets the job done.

ImageOdeseus//Male, Tentacruel
Johann received Odeseus when fishing--he had accidentally hooked one of his tentacles. He was 21 at the time.

You'd think Odeseus would be the evil one. You've heard all that crap about the Tentas; they're apparently supposed to be evil geniuses. Sounds like Marconi's crowd. But, as much as I would love another villain, Odeseus is....outside of the norm, for his people. He's one of them literature geeks, all into poetry, writing, plays, you name it. Invaluable in a fight, though, and with him around, who needs a boat?

Battle Notes: Odeseus would prefer poetry, but he's often used as a emergency tank, because of both his necessity for water and his enormous size. As such, when not near water, he is usually called out to use a devastating move, and then pulled back in. In water, it's a different story; when in his home turf, he fights like a poetic madman, slapping with tentacles and letting verses flow from his mouth.

ImageLlane//Male, Relicanth
Johann recieved Llane as a inheritance from his great-aunt. He was 22 at the time.
Llane..he got dumped on me. Some old aunt of mine I've never heard of left him to me, and what a load of good that's done me. Marconi's always picking on him especially, since he almost never sees combat. The only real place he's useful is in my fishtank back at my H.Q back in Yarin. He's a real booksmart guy; his knowledge of geography is a real help for figuring out my next job.

Battle Notes: Llane spends almost all of his life in a Pokeball or a fishtank, so the only real moves he's learned are some psychic attack that he can use in an emergency.

ImageUmbriana//Female, Mothim
Johann recieved Umbriana when he caught her in the woods at night near Yarin. He was 23&1/2 at the time.
If Imhotep's the antisocial one, Umbriana's the suckup. She's always either hanging around me or Marconi; if it's me, trying to help, and if it's Marconi, trying to get the guts to "punish" him. In both situations, she just usually makes it worse. I do apreciate her trying, though, and she's very encouraging for her idea for me to make a harness for Llane's fishtank so she can show him the fun, too. A Pokemon can dream, can't she?

Battle Notes: For all her faults, Umbriana makes a surprisingly good fighter, relying on flying above the foe, then carpet-bombing it with spores. In an emergency, she relies on confusing lights to distract her foe while Marconi, Imhotep, or Odeseus go in for the kill.

Notes: I tried to keep his backround deliberatly simple. Johann picked (or recieved) his Pokemon primarily for help with his job. Each one fits a role: Marconi scares away ferals, Kria flies above trees and scouts around, Imhotep give supporting fire for Marconi, Odeseus can be a tank in a tight squeeze, Llane gives info for the next job, and Umbriana just...tries to help in whatever way she can. Notice, too, how almost all of them center around Marconi in some way.

Mod Notes:
I really like this guy...having so many intelligent pokes will mean that they have to be weaker in battle or risk control issues, but I hope you'll take that and keep this guy the way he is. Also, make sure you're careful with Marconi - if he died you'd have a problem on your hands.
Approved. You bring a lot of character to the setting without neglecting basic survival.

Zucco -> Dragonair -> Rapidash -> Manectric -> Sceptile -> Pidgeot -> Hariyama

Trainer:
Image
*Slam*
*Slam*
*Slam*

The sounds of bodies slamming the tatami mats where the only thing heard in the Dojo. Master Higashi was training with his only Pokemon, a Lucario, side by side the two kept twenty different martial artists at bay using only the momentum of their opponents attacks. Zucco, barely seven at the time, watched amazed at the prowess of his father.

He had trained Ai Ki Do with his father since he was five and by then he could hold his own against a well trained teenager. He couldn't wait for class that day, his father had told him that upon reaching 4th Kyu he would receive his very first Pokemon. That day, Zucco effectively received a Dratini and started his career as a trainer, as he had with his martial arts, much younger than any other student at the academy...

By the time he was nine Zucco was an up and coming trainer, although he hadn't been allowed much time in the wilderness alone, he had already captured a Ponyta and a Rattata, he had reached 3rd kyu and was due to present his exam onto second in some weeks, at least that was the plan...

10 days before his exam, the great cataclysm occurred, when it happened, Zucco was in a cave hunting for a zubat, he immediately felt the change in his mind, his Pokemon immediately tried to rebel, the rattata turned feral, dratini escaped its pokeball and fled while only ponyta remained by his side although even sustaining one Pokemon was extremely hard for the small boy. The rattata immediately tried to attack but an instinctive quick kick from ponyta crippled the rat long enough for a hastly escape atop the horse Pokemon.

The outcome of the catastrophe was the complete destruction of Zucco's small village, the Pokemon from all the trainers rebeled and turned onto their masters, the tax of 6 Pokemon was too much for the minds of unprepared trainers. Amongst the survivors, Zucco found his father; the master was inside his Dojo making a last stand with his lucario and trying to protect the few survivors. Eventually ferals were eventually superior to the trainer, Higashi perished trying to protect the doors that held all of the survivors, including Zucco, behind them. The small boy watched his father perish while he realized how powerless he was. At last, the Lucario managed to fend off the few remaining Pokemon sieging the dojo, just to die from a horrible Scyther cut afterwards.

The next two months were dedicated to the mourning of the great master and hero, the village tried to establish a defensive choke point for long enough to allow the arrival of a rescue party, during this time the boy found himself being dissed and dismissed, being called too big to be aimlessly playing with the other two children and too small to help with any of the tasks the adults needed to get done.
Because of this, Zucco dedicated his time to the one thing his father had managed to fully implement in the boy's mind, the practice of the Ai Ki Do, he would train several hours in the morning, meditate for two hours before lunch and then head back onto the ruins of the Dojo to continue his training. The boy slowly felt how he was able to better focus his concentration in order to maintain the control over the docile ponyta who he named Firemare. After almost seven weeks he felt ready to go looking for the dratini who he felt had been calling him for some days.

When he found her, the dratini was caged near the shack of an old hermit who lived several hundred meters away from the village, getting there required plenty of speed from the ponyta in order to escape several aggressive but lazy Slakoth ferals. once he got there, Zucco found the crazed hermit torturing not the dratini that had once been his but rather a beautiful Dragonair. The fight was long and involved no Pokemon, the child had been taught to fight Pokemon with Pokemon and fight human opponents himself. After managing to evade a kick, Zucco threw the leg of the hermit farther away from the rest of his body, when the hermit lost balance Zucco managed to grab both of his wrists and proyect the body towards the far corner of the old hut, knocking out the inexperienced enemy.

Immediately the boy headed to free his old Pokemon, the beautiful new form dazzled the boy for a second but he then noticed how bad the shape of the poor dragon was. The hermit had had his way with her, several lash marks, cuts and burns were visible in the skin of Dragonair. But all this fell short of what probably was one of the most horrible torture methods that had been conceived. Attached to the crystal on the neck of the Pokemon a small stone sat contrasting the pure blue of a now tarnished and irreversibly enjeweled Crystal. The stone, as Zucco later found out when he arrived at the village, was no ordinary thing, it was an item used by trainers to avoid the evolution of their Pokemon, the everstone was placed into Dragonairs body in such a way it was impossible to remove and made equally implausible her evolution.

The years passed and Dragonair and Ponyta grew incredibly close to the growing boy, their daily training slowly allowed the development of their focus and intelligence; now living in the village of Keo the three of them became a great team of intelligence, self control and wit. When he turned 13, Zucco finally felt he was able to control a third Pokemon and he had a good idea of what he wanted to capture. A rogue Manectric that had escaped into an abandoned power plant, isolated from other ferals, was not only a great candidate but also a challenge to the team. After a fierce battle the team managed to overpower the enemy, even though Dragonair was severely harmed by a thunderbold, ponyta managed to overwhelm the Pokemon and finally allow it's capture.

After 4 years trying to pacify and train Manectric, Zucco was able to overcome the barriers of a feral mind and actually get the rogue to follow orders, slowly but surely, he was becoming a great Pokemon handler, able to control 3 of them was a great feat but he knew the real challenge was to manage six...

When he turned 18, Zucco joined the trainer militia which was to fend off as many ferals outside the city as possible. As it was custom, the newcomer would be paired up with a veteran, Assigned together with a great trainer, Zucco learned to better control his focus, increase his ability as a tactician and most importantly to better communicate with his companions.
On a given day, several years later, Zucco and his companion Fredrick were assigned on a very dangerous mission, they would head out to fight and eliminate the threat posed by a feral sceptile, after fighting through several waves of grass ferals, the ponyta evolved into a majestic rapidash but found itself exhausted against the important fight against the leader of the group. Fredrick used his only two Pokemon in conjuction, a Pidgeot danced around in the sky while an imposing Hariyama pinned down the Sceptile.
After several minutes of Fighting the battle was finally over, the sceptile was succumbing to the constant attacks of both Pokemon while Zucco fended off the remaining ferals using Dragonair. As a last resort in order to save its life, the sceptile attacked Fredrick directly a Razorleaf cutting the neck of the more experienced trainer. With this, the two Pokemon that opposed it returned to their pokeballs where they would accompany their master in his final minutes. Sceptile, terribly weakened and suffering from several cuts collapsed on the floor. Instead of killing it, Zucco used a pokeball on the fainted Pokemon and managed to capture it.

Rushing to tend his companion, Zucco found his friend in terrible condition, his blood turning the grass red. With his last words, Fredrick gave Zucco the greatest honor that could be handed onto a trainer, he gave him his two Pokemon. Just having to maintain his focus to keep his three usual companions, the newly acquired rogue and the two others nearly overwhelmed him. Zucco found himself returning to the village atop a slithering Dragonair, after a couple of hours in the hospital, he walked onto his room, an improvised Dojo where he locked himself in for several days, meditation, mourning and training where the only things on the room, Only coming out to eat some fruit every now and then, Zucco kept a bow of silence for almost two months during which he managed to control the six Pokemon he was now in charge of.

2 years have passed since that day and Zucco has grown into a very important trainer in the city, even though Sceptile is still somewhat rebelious, he has managed to order him around, although the love and loyality of the Pokemon are nowhere near those of the other five. Now, Zucco is required in the village of Yarin, where he is to receive further orders to protect the region from the increasingly aggressive southern masses...

Pokemon:
Image Koori(Ku Ori)/Dragonair/Female.
Koori was Zucco's first Pokemon, he obtained her when he was barely seven, before the crisis. Although she escaped him when the legendaries left, Koori is now Zucco's most loyal Pokemon, she wouldn't ever leave his side again even if her trainer blacked out and was unable to keep her inside the bokeball. She has an everstone forcefully enjeweled onto her neck crystal which make evolution impossible.
After many years with Zucco, Dragonair has become a very intelligent Pokemon, a very eloquent speaker and a great student. She has mastered many techniques which she uses often. Her favorite one is Ice Beam but it isn't used often because of how taxing it is.
In Battle Koori is very patient, waiting for the best moment to strike, she is able to hold her own for quite a while until the opponent tires out or gives her an opening, even so, her attack power is not very high, being unable to deal large amounts of damage without tiring herself completely. She prefers to fight in a group with other Pokemon on Zucco's team, especially with Firemare or Raiju.

Image Firemare/Rapidash/Female
Firemare was Zucco's second Pokemon and she has saved his life at least twice. They are extremely close and although she never was able to speak, she is quite experimented when it comes to simple battle tactics, especially with team meates she has known for a while. Her relationship with Zucco is similar to that of a jockey and his horse. Firemare was the first Pokemon that burdened Zucco's mind when the pokeballs stopped working correctly. Firemare has always been an agile Pokemon, able to run and jump faster and higher than any other of Zucco's land Pokemon, she is his main means of land transportation and is able to gallop for hours before needing a long night's rest.
In battle Firemare is evasive, her speed and energy are her main weapons tiring the enemy before making one final attack to finish them. She knows several powerful fire attacks and will often use her hind legs to kick the opponent as well as use her speed and mass to tackle the opponent. Although she won't tire from evading, her energy will be depleted quickly whenever she uses a taxing attack.

Image Raiju/Manectric/Male
Raiju was the first Pokemon that Zucco managed to capture after the cataclysm, being barely thirteen at the time, they have had time to grow fond of each other, Raiju is an intelligent pokemon, able to speak a fluent, although crude English, he has trained with Firemare and Koori long enough to get to know their ways of fighting. His personality is rash and aggressive, although no longer a feral, Raiju still lusts for battle, now to help mankind instead of destroying it. In battle he can be somewhat unpredictable and hard to control, especially after being hurt or mocked by an enemy. He is capable of devastating attacks such as Thunder.
In Battle, Raiju is reckless and aggressive, trying to end a fight as soon as it starts, his energy reserves don't allow him much time in the battle field but he is able to defeat an equally skilled opponent or two before having to return to his pokeball. Raiju serves as an emergency means of transportation in case Firemare is too tired, even so, the journey is quite uncomfortable due to constant electric shocks that the rider receives when mounting.

Image Arntle/Sceptile/Male
Arntle is Zucco's most troublesome Pokemon, a great fighter, Arntle values the strenght of his new trainer and respects his ability. Even so, he is sometimes rebellious when given orders, Arntle can speak very crudely allowing lone words or short sentences, Zucco believes that he turned feral in order to protect an endangered forest but understanding Arntle is quite difficult. For the time being, Zucco has earned Arntle's respect with his calm way of life, consuming only what he needs from the environment. Even so the Pokemon would escape if given the chance but is right now bound to protect the only human he really admires.
In battle Arntle is a fierce opponent, capable of fighting with a gracious style, his razor sharp arm leaves are his main weapon of combat and are yielded as such, often passing all of his free time outside his pokeball sharpening and tending them and the plants surrounding his current location. Arntle is able to sustain a considerable amount of punishment before having to rest, he uses little energy attacking his opponent because he only uses physical attacks and his Leaf Blades in battle, although he probably is capable of utilizing other grass based moves in times of crisis.

Image Arwen/Pidgeot/Female
Arwen was one of the two pokemon that Zucco received from his long time companion Fredrick, she has the intelligence of an average Pidgeot, unable to speak or plan ahead of what her trainer orders. Although she is fast and nimble she is also capable of terrible attacks that can demoralize a target. Arwen is Zucco's means of aerial transportation, able to make moving large distances of uneven terrain much faster. Arwen has grown quite close to Dragonair and they share a special bond, although they don't fight together too often.
In battle Arwen is a fast hit and run attacker, she will charge in, deal some damage and retreat, her cowering fighting style is able to offset many short tempered Pokemon. She even got hit by the Thunder Bolt of a very angry Raiju. Arwen is fragile and delicate but her fast speed allows her to stay out of harms way most of the time.

Image Tornka/Hariyama/Male
Tornka is the second gift that Zucco received from Fredrick, although quite new on the team, Zucco has grown to like him quite a lot, he is a strong fighter and follows an interesting martial art style similar to Sumo, even if the styles that Pokemon and Trainer follow are quite different, they enjoy spending time together practicing their moves and trying to teach each other. Tornka is able to speak a few words and katas but he is unable to communicate effectively. Having a very tranquile lifestyle Tornka has become a good friend of Arntle.
In battle, Tornka is a tank, his body allows him to receive incredible amounts of punishment without taking too much damage, on the other hand, he has short bursted stamina and once he begins attacking, there won't be too much of a fight left, be it because of exhaustion or because a swift victory, Tornka won't directly attack unless ordered to, he would much rather use his enemies strenght to send them away with powerful grabs and throws.

Other:
Zucco is a very calm person, he has trained all of his life in order to fully control his mind and body trough the energy that flows between them. As a dedicated martial artist he can hold himself against most average human opponents. His diet consists mainly on fruits and vegetables but he has Fish twice a week and Meat once every two weeks.
Zucco almost never loses focus, he can concentrate on whichever task he is doing to develop it to the best of his capabilities. Unfortunately controlling more than a Pokemon hinders his ability to concentrate and will sometimes fall prey to emotions, this is why he normally utilizes either Kooni in conjunction with another Pokemon who does require more focus and ordering when fighting.

Mod Notes:
Approved. Seeing as we worked on AIM together, I'm not surprised. :p

Trainer:
Image Ben Jacobs
  • Hey, I'm Ben. Should be about 20 years old now, I don't really keep track. Birthdays just ain't that important, what with the world how it is. Heh. You should have seen me ten years ago. Little rich son of a bastard. Owned a few 'undred acres, out in what's feral country now. I suppose my family's part of the reason the Pokemon don't like us so much. Makin' 'em farm land for us. 'nough of 'em got hands it's profitable, and you can get the smarter ones to look after the dumb ones. Heh. Lets teach 'em leadership, so they know how to work together when they want ta kill us!

Anyway, yeah. I'm not doing this for my land, really. I'm doing this because I believe that those damn rebels have no damned right to fight us for our land. You see them with any kind of civilization? Any kind of housin', or plannin'? Thought not! They just sit out there, killing each other. Now, them is all well and good, long as they mind their place. Take John, he knows his place proper. Helping us. David's a bit crazy, but only 'cause he has a right to be, strong as he is and all that. Nearly smart as a proper being. Uh... Yeah. Anyway, nice to meetcha, when do ya think we'll get a chance at the sneaky little rebels?

Pokemon:
Image Eli Image
  • Ben is more than a little attatched to Eli. Given to Ben as a present by some of his more prosperous relatives, Eli has now been with Ben for more than a decade. Quick of action and of thought, Eli is likely smarter than Ben is, and it shows on the battlefield. As Ben's first line of defense, Eli specializes in confusion and desception, using it's small size and psychic abilities against much larger foes.
Image John Image
  • John is a warrior, and has served Ben's family for two generations at this point. Since Ben's father's death three years ago, John has worked with Ben, providing quick damage on the battlefield, and wisdom Ben sorely requires off of it. In battle, he specializes in poisoning enemies, and then falling back to let the poison take its course.
Image Alex Image
  • Purchased by Ben slightly over two years ago, Alex is not incredibly bright, but well worth the expense. With little willpower of its own, Alex will often meld into whatever force happens to be attacking Ben, acting simply as a strong enemy until it comes face-to-face with Ben or one of his other Pokemon. At this point, it will usually remember its loyalty, and stab its recent allies in the back. Unfortunately, due to its low intelligence and will, if the enemy is particularly strong in either, Alex will often forget what side he is on entirely, simply fighting whatever comes near until the battle ends. As a strong Pokemon, damage to the surrounding area is often inevitable in such cases.
Image Isabelle Image
  • Isabelle is a horrible fighter against anyone who can actually find her. Fortunately, with her extreme speed and sharp reflexes, the only ones to do so are usually psychic. Working as an efficient scout and a quick counter, Isabelle is however mostly used outside of the actual combat, as she can do little to guard Ben himself from anything that might wish to kill him.
Image David Image
  • Fast. Powerful. Intense. David is possibly Ben's strongest and let least used Pokemon, and David resents it. At heart, Ben is a coward, and yet despite the fact that his honor calls him to fight, he always wants a back-up plan. David is that. Easily used as a quick escape or a last resort, David feels underappreciated for what he could do in combat. Aanother long-term friend of Ben's family, that is perhaps the only reason he remains under Ben's control. While all of Ben's Pokemon, except Alex, are strong in mind and heart, David is perhaps the vainest. His skin is of course the shiniest, his eyes the purest, and his movements the most graceful, than any other Pokemon's ever was. And he has been known to ignore Ben's control when insulted, making him a risk for travel.
Other: Ben's Pokemon in general view him as meaning well, with a strong mind, but kind of slow when it comes down to it. They don't exactly agree with all his principles, and often resent him for them, but he treats them like family, even if he does look down on other Pokemon. He also keeps a Super Ball around, in case he runs into anything he particularly wants to catch. He let his Magmar go only a few days ago, because it was beginning to break out of its restraints.

Mod Notes:
Approved. This is a nice, short, SIMPLE entry. I like it.

Trainer
Image Moi Ador

That spotless red jumpsuit, that perfectly kept blonde hair, those pristine white sneakers, but most of all, that careless grin and thumbs up. With every cell in his body, Moi just oozes style. If it was still a valid profession, he would have surely been a popstar, or some actor. Something fabulous and famous. Well, in this world of Pokemon, a trainer is as close to a popstar you can come.

Moi cares more about his looks and prestige than the actual fighting going on. If there was any way to get famous without it, he would have done that instead. The teeth grinding thing about his personality is, that even though he doesn't look like it, Moi is an excellent trainer. For some reason, his aura of aloofness attract a certain kind of pokemon, and demands their respect.

In case you couldn't tell by the rest of the description, Moi was born and raised in the big city of Seital, were people can still get away with being lazy. Moi isn't the type of person who will sulks about the dreadful things that are happening everywhere. He's too busy exploiting them and enjoying the sweet prestige trainers get for acting like heroes. You won't catch him in the wild too oftne, though. He wouldn't risk sullying his sneakers.

Pokémon

Image Beaux : female raticate

Moi has a bit of a love/hate relationship with Beaux. She was his first pokémon, even though in no way the strongest. In an attempt to pretend that Beaux is something more fabulous than the truth, Moi always takes very good care of her. Maybe that's why she likes him so much. Beaux can't talk and isn't too bright: but her devotion and razor sharp fangs serve Moi unquestionably.

Image Ojaques : male steelix

Ojaques, in contrast to Beaux, is fabulous. Also in contrast to Beaux: he doesn't act like it. Ojaques, Moi's powerhouse and mount, is a difficult bugger. He doesn't like to be waxed three times a day. He's a fighter, and he only sticks because he shares his master's lust for fame. Ojaques is fairly intelligent, but he can't speak, which is a lucky thing for both him and his trainer.
Image Threetron: genderless magneton

Threetron used to be just Tron. As Tron, he was a simle magnemite, simple, weak and easy to manage. Untill he found two other magnemite in an abandoned power plant. Tron fused with the other two, absorbing their intellegince and power. Now called Threetron, he is vastly intelligent, even to the point of looking down on Moi. Always calculative and sulking, the only thing keeping him from taking over the world is Moi and his inspiring arrogance.
Image Nollop: female bellsprout.

Nollop is the weakest, dumbest and most useless Pokémon in Moi’s team. For some reason, though, Moi has a very big soft spot for this guy. Probably because this guy is the cutest bellsprout you will ever run in to. He’s not worth much in a fight, though.

Image Sjiq: male cubone

Sjiq, like the rest of his kind, is a sad bugger. In his case, his intelligence is definitely more of a burden than a blessing. Prone to writing bad poetry and reading even worse, Sjiq has a very low self esteem, even though Sjiq is more powerful than he looks. Moi keeps him around because having a marowak would boost his rockstar image.

Image Guy: male golduck

Guy is without a doubt the strongest member of Moi’s group. Guy shares a lot with his master. Fabulousness, power, and sadly, arrogance. In fact, Guy is so much like Moi that these two just keep on arguing, keeping Moi from drawing out his full potential. And Guy sure has a lot of potential: his psychic powers are a force to be reckoned with. Trough all of the nasty words, Guy and Moi have bonded a very close relationship, and even though neither would admit it, they’ve become inseparable.

Other: I deliberatly made my Trainer's bio flat and empty. I wrote it from the point of view of an outsider, and I'd like to tell my story trough my posts, and not trough in here. Else I won't have anything to roleplay about.

Mod Notes:
You've made a character that screams "comic relief guy". You certainly seem like you could handle rping it. Same thing as Saber, if you're willing to make yourself a trainer who's not quite on the same level as the "heavy hitters", approved.

Arcane, you've got an awesome character. I particularly enjoyed the first three pokemon and your sharpedo's story, though I felt the other two were a bit obligatory. They didn't really tie together with your character very well, you know, randomly happening upon some poachers of an onyx cave, randomly being lost and having some epic dragon thing fall from the sky, etc. The Salamence is particularly troublesome, just because the story seems random so that you could quantify having an epic dragon or something. Otherwise, I've no complaints with your character and in-fact find him quite neat.

Daryll's Lucario story rocks now, big time improvement. If he can keep that thing in check in the RP, I'm in full support of it. Major props on the turn-around, Daryll. I also kind of like the way you got the Tyrogue as well. It would be especially interesting if he evolved into one of the three fighters sometime along in the story, since you've sort of paved the way for that. Beware, though, Tyrogues are traditionally weak-kneed in battle, so don't let him die or something. Definitely liking it on the whole now, though, so it's got my support.

I didn't read through all of Psiclone's guy, but I like that he's a poke explorer and has pokemon that fit the bill for it. The story is moderately good for what I read, definitely good enough. I particularly like that there are a few useless pokes in the team, means you need to round out better. I think this will work out nicely.

I like Viggy's character a lot, it's good stuff and so forth. Not big comments, though, but it's good stuff.

I'll get to Manty's, Cab's, and Phoenix' when I get a chance.

Lawrence

I remember earlier times, better times, before the legendaries left, before she…No, it’s too early to mention that. Excuse me, it’s been years, but that doesn’t always ease the pain. At least I can think of it without bursting into tears.

I suppose you wonder who I am, where I’m from. I can give you a straight answer for the second, but for the first, that’s a bit more difficult. You see, who I am now is not who I was, and who I was was never constant. I’ve never been the same from day to day. Oh, I must apologize again, I’m going off on a tangent. My name is Lawrence, I’m a Pokemon researcher and trainer, and I used to do a little exploring on the side.

Where I’m from, now that’s easier. I was born in Fuchsia, but we weren’t there long before my family upped and moved to Pallet. There was a famous scientist there…I think his name was Pine or something…who needed my parents help. Their entire lives revolved around…Oak! That’s the man’s name!...studying pokemon. He said he was researching a new type of pokemon, and my parents were enlisted into his service.

Now, in a town like Pallet, you would think I would be a popular kid. Son of two scientists, working with Professor Oak…real cool right? You’d be wrong. And by wrong, I mean go cry in a corner, you just said 1+1 is 5…in fifth grade. That’s how wrong you would be. I had maybe one or two friends, but you would call them more of fair weather friends. Sure, they’d play with me if we weren’t around others, but as soon as we were with a group…they’d vanish like a shy haunter.

There we go again…ranting on irrelevant details of my past. All you need to know from that was that I was lonely, so when I wasn’t home I hung out at the lab with my parents and Oak. That’s probably why I ended up in my current position. It seems I was destined to follow my parents shoes in the science world. If I wasn’t in the lab, I was swimming in the ocean with our family pet Lapras, Mirage. She was much smaller then, I’ll grant you that, but still large enough to bear me on her back across the waves.

I was around thirteen when I caught my first wild pokemon, a young eevee. It was on one of those rare moments when I was playing with my…well…my friends, I guess. We were in the fields outside of Pallet, just goofing around, searching for the usual pidgey or rattata. I heard a quiet, pitiful, whimpering from behind a bush, and when I went to explore, I discovered it was an eevee! Imagine my surprise. Being the nerd I was, I of course realized how rare this was.

It was in such poor shape. Its fur was torn, and it was missing part of an ear. It looked at me with such sad eyes, that I decided to capture it and find help for the little eevee. Now, as you can see, that little eevee is fully recovered, and one of my most trusted friends. In fact, Ember and Mirage have been my two closest companions, even before she came…and they still are, after all the hard times.

It wasn’t long after that that the Cinnabar Research and Science Center (commonly called Cerces. See, the acronym is CRSC, which if you…I think you understand) contacted me. They had heard about my research with the Professor, and felt that I could provide valuable assistance in whatever project it was they needed me for, I can’t honestly remember, there were so many.

I had one great outcome of my time with Cerces, and one terrible. I’ll start with the terrible. I was part of the team researching ancient pokemon when the famous explosion occurred. Many were killed that day. I lost a great deal of friends, but, thankfully, not the one person who mattered. That is the good thing. I met her.

Her? Who is she? Her name is Beth. She was the love of my life. In fact, she was my wife. We shared many great years together. Instead of engagement rings, we did a pokemon trade, her Persian for my eevee. It was the hardest thing I ever did, but in the end, we were all happy. We chose together to turn our unnamed eevee into a flareon. Ember still seemed to orbit around me often, but we were all very happy.

I’d…I’d say more…but I’m still dealing with the loss…she was killed by ferals while we were in Karud. It...it all happened too fast. Beth…why did you go…

Image Ember/Male/Flareon
As I'm sure I told you, I caught Ember as a little eevee, my first pokemon. He's been with me for the best parts of my life, and the worst. I trust him to defend my life, both in battle and out. In battle, he's not the smartest, but he is fierce and relentless. He can follow orders, but complex planning is not his strong suit. I blame the years with my wife for that. In battle, he has a vast array of fire spells which he uses to secure his advantage. He seems to have a deep connection with Jasmine, probably due to the marriage exchange.

He's my best friend. If there is one good...*sigh*...this is going to come out wrong I know it...if there is one good thing about my wife's death...it's that now Ember and I share that bond we once had, but that is a faint shimmer in the sea of misery that I feel thinking that thought. Ember fills a hole I had before, but there are so many now that I just...Sorry, we are talking about Ember, not me. I raised him from that dirty, tired, injured eevee into a champion flareon, but I couldn't have done it without his complete faith in me. He never questions my orders. He'll dive into a lake to save me, even though he hates water. No challenger is too strong for him if I am there. And he is always ready to play, and you'd be surprised how much I need that now.

Ember, my companion...I know he will never leave me...even without a pokeball. That's why he's never in one unless he's knocked out.

Image Mirage/Female/Lapras
I suppose you could say that Mirage was my first pokemon, not Ember. It doesn't matter. Mirage has been around longer, but she wasn't my pokemon until my parents retired from Oak's lab and I joined Cerces. She's not the best fighter, but she can provide fast transport across the sea. If my team has a captain, it would be Mirage. She keeps them all in line, and in battle she directs them, interpreting my orders, and planning strategies with Asp. My family raised her from birth, and over the years she learned how to speak.

She's the mother of the team as well. Some could say she's a little nosy, but we all know better. She wants the best for us, and makes sure we are all okay. If any of the pokemon have a problem, they will most likely go to her because they know she can fix it. If she can't, then it's up to me, but sometimes even I go to her for help.

She was my true childhood friend before Ember came along. Ever since Beth died, she's been the one to care for me and worry about me the most. Without her support, I don't think I'd still be around anymore. She brought me back from the brink of suicide. It's because of her counsel that I can finally hear the name Beth and not...not...I don't know what I would do if she was killed. I don't know what I would do if any of them were killed, even Skywings. Well...maybe Skywings.

Image Skywings/Male/Staraptor
Skywings...he's the newest member of this team. He was one of Beth's pokemon, and he always seemed to silently resent me for expecting time from my wife. If I were to be honest, he's the last pokemon I wanted on my team. He always goes against my wishes if he thinks he knows better. Sometimes he does, but a lot of the time he doesn't. In battle, he is a master of quick strikes from the air, but if something manages to get him to the ground, he can't last long. He is a free spirit, but he gets the job done...usually.

He's become a lot less arrogant ever since Beth died. I think he blames himself for not being able to protect her from the ferals. He spends most of his time training now, and seems to admire Ember a lot. After all, Ember didn't fly out of the way and...no, I can't blame him. It would be easy, but it's not his fault. He didn't intend for it to happen the way it happened. He still resents me of course, but what can I do but treat him with respect. At least I know he will never turn on me. He's arrogant, but he's not a backstabber. We'll see how his training pays off. Maybe he'll finally accept my authority in the wild.

Image Palm/Female/Tropius
Palm is my NEWEST pokemon. She was also one of the hardest. Palm is the tank of the team, slow and strong. I was planning on teaching her to fly, but now that Skywings has joined our team, there is no reason. She continues to prove a reliable member of the team. She and Ember seem to have developed a bond, and it's always enjoyable seeing the two of them fight together. His speed and her strength provide an excellent balance.

I remember this one time, the two were fighting a small swarm of three beedrills. Pins were flying everywhere! The first thing Palm did was cast protect on both her and Ember, and then unleashed a gust of wind so strong it took the beedrills all their strength to not go flying backwards. Ember let loose a fire spin that seared the beedrills. Even when the pins managed to hit Palm, she kept the wind going allowing Ember to continue using his moves against them. When all was said and done, I was ready to leave, but Palm refused to go until we had buried the damn things. She always hates killing, but as the ferals have gotten worse and worse, she's found herself forced to do it every now and then. Still insists on giving each and everyone a burial, the sweetie.

Palm was given to me as a gift (I wasn't too fond of the name originally, but it grew on me). One of my coworkers from Cerces was being sent on a classified project (Never found out what the project was about) and Palm was too giant for where he was going. He asked me to take care of her for him, and to this day I make sure every scratch is examined. I think she still misses him, but she's grown to love me as well. In accordance with her sweet nature, she seems to like Skywings more than the others do. Probably because they're both flying pokemon. Maybe if I have time, I'll teach her to fly just to see how those two work together in the air.

Image Asp/Male/Arbok
What can I say about Asp? He's the smartest of all my pokemon, even more so than Mirage. He is the teams chief strategist, and in battle he specializes in lightning fast strikes. Like Mirage, he can speak, though it is sometimes hard to understand his exaggerated hissing.

I caught Asp during one of my, well, explorations. Beth was still with me, but she had to stay in town due to a snake bite. The doctor said that payment for the antidote was finding more venom for him to make more. I had taken my (well, our) Ember with me. We had been climbing through a few rocky hills, when I slipped and fell into a hole. I heard rattles all around me, and when Ember jumped down to join me (bless his soul, first thought was of my protection), we realized we were in a baby ekans den. Their teeth were too small to do any damage to us, and so I took out the vial the doc gave me and was about to extract the venom when I heard a hiss. It was a male Arbok, looking after his young while the mama was gone! The arbok lunged at us, but Ember was quicker (now the two treat it as a competition) and dodged the poisonous bites at the beginning. The cave lit as Ember used his moves, but the snake's shadow was a blur on the walls. He landed a bite on Ember, but that didn't stop him from knocking the Arbok out. After catching Asp (not the best name I know, but hey, Ember burned up a lot of oxygen during the fight. I'd like to see you do better when your head is dizzy), I felt bad that the little ekans had no father to watch them. I climbed out and left Jasmine to stand guard (on reflection, probably not the smartest idea but she behaved). I headed back to town and told the Pokemon center about what had happened, and they dispatched two of their nurses to rescue the orphan ekans.

I think that is what won Asp over. Seeing how I protected his young, it earned his trust. We've never had any problems, except for when he stretches my orders to the point of almost breaking them. I hope his children all found a trainer to care for them, but I don't know what this team would have done without him.

Image Jasmine/Female/Persian
Jasmine is not a battle pokemon. She was never meant to be. She was my wife's favorite, and her promise to remain with me forever. Ever since my wife's death, Jasmine and I have become much closer. She has also turned to Ember for comfort, but gets along well with all but Skywings. I find it funny. She's doesn't fight, but her instincts take over and every now and then she pounces on him. Serves the arrogant bird right. I love this cat.

My wife raised Jasmine her entire life, from Meowth kitten to Persian cat. She seems to have picked up a lot of my wife's characteristics, including her playfulness. I remember the first night after the trade, Jasmine was miserable. She missed the bond she had with Beth, and I can't honestly blame her. Ember was not much better. That night, I received more scratches than I had ever had in my life. I was almost skinned. The next night though, she slept right by my legs, calm as day. Ever since then we've had no problems between us.

Mad props, Bush. The character was good until your wife died, then it was gold. I really can't say much more other than more detail in your pokémon wouldn't hurt, but I really enjoy what you've come up with here. Marriage exchange of pokémon? Brilliant.

Dimitri Reinhardt -
"I disdain those who bring up how things used to be, because that is not how they are now."

ImageImage

A member of the Tactical Assault Squad of Yarin Corps, and his training shows. Not only does he have a well trained group of pokemon on him, he himself is trained in combat. He carries an extendable metal baton, and a short machete. In addition, a combat knife, a collapsible rifle, and pistol are near or on his person at all times.

He is a man who is very helpful, when help is asked for, otherwise he is very independent in whatever he does, especially making camp. He can seem short and terse, but that is only because he is good at and is constantly challenging those he travels with. When someone does get on his bad side though, they are treated coldly, if he talks to them at all.

His belief in pokemon is to associate with the ones most like humans, so that the human may become more like the pokemon.

Image
Hypno - Freud - The smartest of Dimitri's companions. Found sleeping as a Drowsee behind his house, he was easy to catch for the young boy, using his father's pokeball. This became Dimitri's preferred method of catching pokemon as he grew to be friends with Freud. Freud enjoys joining in conversation psychically, but otherwise is quite silent. In battle, Freud disables his opponents, may snack on their dreams, but then is done.

Image
Golduck - Galileo - Caught as a Psyduck, which was easily confused by Freud. When it finally evolved, Dimitri found it to be as faithful of a companion as Freud. A bit more into the fight than Freud, Dimitri used him as his defender for some time.

Image
Teddiursa - Joan - Dimtri's indulgence, as he calls it. A small, cuddly pokemon, but fierce in fighting. It enjoys riding on Dimitri's back and shoulder, or following from the trees or deep brush. Part of Dimitri looks to the day it evolves, but another lies on the everstone in his pack.

Image
Magmar - Vlad - Dimitri's brute force. Not as smart as his other pokemon, but still humanoid enough for Dimitri's standards. Being powerful is what it is good at, tearing through multiple enemies at once when needed to. He was traded long ago for Dimitri's Kadabra.

Image
Grovyle - Alexander - Found as a Grovyle in the wild, after stalking Dimitri for a long while. With Hypno's assistance in partially subduing the pokemon, Dimitri weakened it himself to catch it, physically fighting the pokemon.

I helped with this guy, and I'm sure you would have been more verbose if I hadn't been bugging you to finish. Approved, lets do this.

Went for a different character since I wasn't happy with my original one, he's still a teacher however.

----
Trainer:
Image
Mosh:

Ah, I remember my first birthday. 'Course it wasn't really my first birthday but I consider it to be, seeing as it opened my eyes to the world around me, so to speak. I was sitting at the kitchen table in all of my youth, knowing that this year was the year I could become an official pokemon trainer. The first couple presents were the usual things, clothes, shoes, things like that. The last present was different, I tore up the wrapping and saw what was inside.

I suppose my disappointment must have shown because my father said:
"Let's have a talk Mosh." and walked out of the room. I figured I should follow him so I made to find him but then, I decided to bring the present along too. I finally found him in his 'office' or at least that's what he called it. I had never actually entered his office, just because the floor was so littered with books and papers that you'd be lucky to find your way back out. I saw him searching for a particular book upon a shelf, upon finding it he blew off the dust and made is way over to the table, and motioned me to come over.

"Take out your present and put in on the table Mosh. Careful now, it's fragile!" I wanted him to see how strong and ready I was, so I heaved it out without making any noises, taking silent breaths once I released it.
"Do you know what this is Mosh?"
"Um.. A special rock? It's a very nice rock dad."
"Tell me Mosh, what, if anything, do you know about fossils?" I didn't answer at first, I took a few moments to look more closely at the 'special rock' or what I had thought was a rock. My next sentence was caught in my throat, but it was too much for me to take in.
"You mean. . . That thing is, er I mean was a pokemon?"
"Of course it is my dear Mosh, did you really think I wouldn't get you a pokemon when you finally came of age?" Not waiting for an answer he hefted the fossil across the room, placing it over a strange device.
"Believe it or not, I can replicate the pokemon with this fossil, cool huh?"

Yes, that day certainly opened my eyes. A few hours later I had my first pokemon, he showed me in the book a picture of it, something called an 'Aerodactyl', which used to be common but is now incredibly rare. I'd always assumed that my dad was just a normal pokemon trainer, how wrong I was. Turns out he was an archaeologist, and that it was somewhat of a family business.

I followed my father into archaeology though that's a different story entirely. Finally my old man got too old and I inherited the business. Our excavations have been pretty quiet except for the other two fossils we discovered, but I'll get to that later.

I've settled down as a teacher now, educating young minds, remembering how little I had known at that age. I encourage them to ask questions, being the curious cat that I am I have no problems with questions. Do I miss the past exciting days of my exploits? The point is, I'm happy to teach, happy how things have turned out.

I received a letter from my old man, it worried me because he usually likes to talk to me in person. The message startled me, here's what it said.

"In this cave we have lived. We owe all to the Pokémon. But, we sealed the Pokémon away. We feared it. Those with courage, those with hope. Open the door. An eternal Pokémon awakes."

I don't know what it means but I have this feeling his adventures as an archaeologist aren't over yet. . .

---------------------------------------------------

Pokemon:
Image
Lancer - Aerodactyl

You know about Lancer already, my father gave me his fossilized form on my coming-of-age birthday. We've been through tons of battles and times since then, and he's my most reliable and loyal. The way something as lifeless and inorganic as a fossil could give life and meaning to such a spectacular pokemon is truly one of the marvels of our existence. Perhaps that's why I decided to follow my father in Archaeology and then teaching.

In battle Lancer is balanced in all stats. Unlike most flying pokemon being a rock-type he doesn't fly at high speeds, but makes up for it by being able to take more physical punishment then most flyers. He prefers using his wings as blades and his head as a battering ram, leaving the enemy dazed and he hardly feeling anything.

Image
Omen - Omastar

Omen was my second pokemon, also ressurected from a fossil he is a reliable component of my team and is extremely competent in battle, even as an Omanyte. His evolution symbolizes our large time together and our ability to work as a team. He gets on surprisingly well with Lancer and they seem to work seamlessly together without communication.

Although Omen's useless on land he thrives in water. Despite his harde shell he can swim at breakneck speeds, ramming opponents with his spikes. He also sports a wide variety of water attacks, including the potent Hydro Pump.

Image
Leviathan - Wailord

Ah, Leviathan. Our team had decided to take it easy and go on a nice, refreshing cruise after a particularly successful find. The third day in I spotted her being attacked by a pod of Sharpedos, powerless against their speed and diminutiveness. It would've taken too long to get the captain out here and no one else was around, so I sent out Omen.

Omen racing through the water at 50 mph must have been a scary sight, the smart Sharpedos fled and the dumb ones tried to fight back and defend their prey. Natural selection at it's finest I say. Anyway, Omen quickly dispatched the stragglers while their attacks bounced off of his shell. The poor Wailord couldn't even move, so I captured her, earning her trust. We don't need a cruise ship anymore!

In battle Leviathan is incredibly slow but can take awe-inspiring amounts of hits due to her size and skin. Her most powerful attack is to suck in huge amounts of water and then spew it forcefully in a general area.

Image
Ygg - Cradily

Ygg here is actually an extinct pokemon. You wouldn't think so if you see how he fights though, with such gusto it's hard to believe he was nonliving at a time. He can be incredibly stubborn as well, it's impossible to move him if he doesn't want to be moved because of his suction and roots. I brought him to life from a fossil, and I remember questioning his power because he was so small. After he evolved I was sorry I ever doubted.

In battle Ygg plants himself in, replenishing energy by feeding off the nutrients in the ground. This allows him to use high energy-consuming attacks in battle, so long as there's someplace to root himself. He has a hard time against enemies who attack from a range because of his near-immobility however.

Image
Phalanx - Foretress

I was pretty surprised when Phalanx evolved. The kids found him in the playground, 'course they didn't know what kind of pokemon it was, but that's why I teach there. We kept it as a sort of class pokemon, sometimes I let them try to practice battling with Phalanx, and I guess that was enough to make him evolve in the end.

I can't believe there's a bug under that impenetrable covering, I took him with me knowing he'd be useful for fighting the ferals, not even Lancer can put a dent in him.

In battle Phalanx gives meaning to 'slow and steady wins the race'. He attacks slowly while his opponent makes futile attacks against him. One of his favorite attacks is ball himself up to protect himself and then spin at super high speeds.

Image
Cold - Glalie

Now as you've probably noticed I would've been happy to have all 6 of my pokemon to be ancient fossilized ones. I would've done so, except my father hinted that variety might be a good thing if I wanted to be a great pokemon trainer. He's probably right, and Cold makes a great addition to my arsenal, using intellect and tactics rather than brute force to win battles. She can talk too, which is nice, I never though that to be possible.

In battle Cold uses a variety of defensive techniques to make enemy pokemon tire themselves out and then she unleashes her pent up power.

Mod Notes
It's a bit bland...but I won't keep you from this critical part of the RP for lack of flair. Approved.

In this world, few things keep their values if they are just numbers stuck on a price tag. Price tags can't tell you how many ferals a weapon will kill before you are overrun, and can't tell you how long the food in the can is going to last you. In all this chaos, humanity will find worth in the treasures of the earth itself. I'm not talking about gold or other little trinkets, I'm talking about evolution stones. It was both sad and lucrative to meet all the upscale children with their jigglypuffs and clefairys now giving anything they had that really valued for me to turn their pet into something that can defend their families.

Spelunking has its benefits; the ferals won't try and sniff you out like the fools that huddle around the fortified bases, the beasts will enjoy the low hanging fruit. My position is far south of keo, and in these caves, the worst I'm going to have to worry about is having a close encounter with a dugtrio, nastiest little buggers you will meet.

My supplies will last me two more weeks. In the meantime, I'm struggling to get this tuner working. If I can pick up radio communication, I might be able to find a secure place to move to. The tremors are getting worse every night, I know they can detect the vibrations I make, especially when looking for more stones. This isn't the cave you would normally find them, but If I got lucky enough to add even some ore that could have evolution minerals drawn from, my collection would be stronger. I just hope what I have is enough to make me tactically useful to a military base. I know they aren't going to just let me turn around and not give them a moonstone... I hope they don't let me turn around.

Image
I bought seeker as a venonat for protection back when I first started mining. Even back then wild pokemon weren't something the be trifled with, especially when you're carrying food and blundering into where the nocturnals hide. It didn't take long for him to prove his worth when I got lost looking for plant fossils down in Ashek. For six years seeker has been my second pair of eyes even when the earth swallows all the light. Seeker prefers to use powders and toxins in battle to cover how fragile he is.

If seeker is the eye, wyrm is the muscle. Whatever boulder that needs moving, or mountain that needs climbing, she takes a quiet pride in being gentle, yet powerful. I'd trust her with carrying a child, or even a grape. She is very protective in battle, and will never risk the well being of her teammates

Vaporeon had always been my favorite. Even as a child I wanted to someday own such a rare and beautiful species. When you're in the stones business, you meet a lot of people and pokemon most would never see. Tide took most of my collection to buy, but she was worth more than that; It pays off to have done business with the owners before. Life is a funny thing, I could never find a water stone I could spare on personal use, and the dark environment has taken it's toll on tide. She may not be what I was looking for now, but I wouldn't have her any other way. Tide is as tough as they come, and is tireless on the offensive.

When I saw a wild magmar looking for hot springs, I thought this couldn't be an easier job for wyrm. She swung her massive tail to try and knock the magmar off his feet. Instead, he grabbed her tail and effortlessly redirected it into the ground. Distracted, she couldn't defend herself when the magmar dashed to her midsection and struck with a blow that shook her like the peel of a bell. Wyrm winced and sidewound backwards. It was clear now that magmar wasn't defenseless against rock types as I had hoped, but I knew there was no way for him to parry an earth based attack. Wyrm lanced the earth with her tail, shattering the stone right beneath the magmars feet. Magmar lost his footing, but ukemi'd to save himself. Magmar let loose a cloud of smoke before I could order wyrm to bind him down. She took her tail and swept through the entire cloud, and hit nothing.

She recoiled to strike again, and there he was, standing right on top of her, right where he could cross chop wyrm on the neck. This time she trembled with the vibrations she could barely contain without grinding. I had no choice, she could not survive another blow like that. I had no options, I knew tide would suffer even worse against his fighting type techniques, but the only option I had left was to pit a moth against a flame.

Magmar let loose a flamethrower at seeker, but I had a plan Seeker used gust to drive the flames back and survived with only a few hot scales. This was a mistake, magmar fed on the draft and burned brighter than ever, his fists now smoldering. He ran towards seeker, ignoring the stun spores that did nothing but burn against his skin. I had only one chance left, seeker's eyes flashed as he used disable. Magmar drew his fist to perform a rising fire punch, but had started to levitate into the air. Magmar floated enveloped in violet energy, enable to use any of his close quarters attacks. He Tried to use flamethrower, but could muster nothing but a hot smog because of the disable. He stared seeker down and realized his defeat. He kneeled down and quietly spoke three words, "by my honor". He didn't even resist capture by pokeball.

I named him slag for the fury of his fist attacks. He had a strong sense of focus, and would only strike when the time was right; and opportunist that tried to end battles with as few blows as possible.

I heard that omanytes had recently been discovered as a living species, but never would have guessed I would have found one myself. I kept it with me for entertainment and study, but it grew very quickly. I must have went through five aquariums before I bit the bullet and bought a proper aquaball for safely keeping water types in between when they could rehydrate.

While grimlock had evolved, he grew eager to unleash more firepower than I had ever commanded with a single pokemon. I knew that his species would become very agressive and learn hydro pump and spike cannon, but according to the books they are not supposed to learn hyper beam naturally. This means either the books need updating, or this pokemon was descended from a captive that had been taught the technical machine. The only problem with that is that grimlock is older than the first discovered live omanyte.

He may be very slow, especially out of water, but he packs a punch with his artillary attacks. He is a living tank.

Dromed was leased to me as little more than a tool for a company that hired me to help with the search for ore in the mountains of khanto. The company that rented it out is now out of business, but I wouldn't exactly say I am stuck with Dromed. It is a balanced pokemon in battle that can take a hit with it's metallic hide, but can unleash a sonic boom to fight back.

notes: Meh, I know it's short notice, but I whipped this character u the best I could to try and get into the action without disturbing anything.

I've kept up with what has been going on with the other players, but I don't know if hito would want me to stat in Yarin or somehow make my way there. If it's too late, I would understand.

Mod Notes for Ves:
You're in. Actually, you can post in Lakeside Express, not Yarin. You are the "person" the Sandslash is refering to. I can change this if you REALLY want, but it seems a fitting entrance.
