Hero Contest #3 - Discussion

Let's play a game. If you win, you might just get some representation in DoE!

You know, I haven't played DoE in the longest time but I might pick it up again as a refresher course and enter this for the sake of tradition (fun historical fact, I was the one who thought up the idea of a 'hero contest', way back on the old boards).

If we attempt to remake Innert, do you still want Maim and Blind to be the primary conditions he utilizes, or is Mute still on the table?

Just because something has maim and blind does not imply that it cannot have mute.

I wonder if it's possible to get the concept behind Alice to work in an AoS... Though I guess dusk wouldn't be happy if one of his heroes was inspired by an anime character haha.

I think the fact it would use butterflies as a spell would make it a no-go.

Even though Umineko's Beatrice would be epic..
Let's do what comes naturally

Remember that you're mostly trying to sell me on skills and interactions. If some anime character is a good base upon which to do that, who am I to argue? Do try to be serious with your submissions, though.

Lol XD. Alice is the one that uses/summons little angel dolls for every attack.

Why exactly do you wish to replace Innert? What don't you like about him?

Enough of him that replacing him is a seriously viable option.

Anything more specific? I wouldn't want to remake him only to have it be the pieces that you disliked about him.

Let's just say that I'm pretty sure I can't name a part of him that I am completely happy with. That's why he was the perfect victim for this contest. I'm almost hoping a totally new hero wins so I can give the Order some diversity or something. Then again, I do have a soft spot for Mr. Immobilus. :<

I was sort of hoping that by opening up the contest to more than Innert, I'd actually see more entries than just Innert.

It's the "bonus points" really... If need be, by simply renaming some skills and reflavoring a bit, I'm sure I could un-Innert my hero.
And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.
