Oh didn't see this forum haha. Tyrael (678), woo diamond protoss at 950. Custom games do suck for the most part, although I do like the way items can all be in one shop rather than spread out through multiple. Anyway, ladder! fun fun.

It should happen by the 25, they said it would happen before 60 days after release.
It's kinda lame how they're doing it though, we basically just get a free US copy of the game, rather than transferring our account. So I'll have no US achievements (after I got all the combat ones!!!) t.t still better than being stuck only on SEA I guess.

I've played Special Forces and bounds because they remind me of good ol' Brood War custom gaming.
And honestly, they aren't that bad actually.

SEA/ANZ invasion expected in the next few days : )

Cooldood, #642

Any idea if we'll have new numbers on the US servers?

Well I assume it's just a different account, so you could have a different name as well.

CosmicMind.763 on US.

Name (or at least the character code) might change over the next weeks depending on how lame Blizz is...

Been sampling some custom games.

Well, something's different. It feels kinda like a different... texture? Somehow, moving seems less precise, no doubt because of that new pathing, but unit radii no longer feel sharp and defined like they did in WC3.

Dunno, just feels less enjoyable. Back to WC3.

Yeah, I totally dig ladder, but custom maps just feel... I dunno, too manufactured, I guess. They just feel lacking in some sort of charm that was present in war3 maps.

I don't play sc2 anymore, but I feel like custom games are just lacking the creative map editors. Although it's only been what, half a year since it came out? I didn't play WC3 online until about 2005, but I'm pretty sure they had some crappy maps for a while too. Give it time I suppose.

Good wc3 customs came out pretty quickly (notably extreme TD and so on). I don't know what's wrong with sc2. Less units to use? Less themes? You can't really do magic / caster based maps, which seems to remove alot of options.

Standard of quality, maybe? In WC3 you could get away with a lot less and still look good/play well, due to the graphics and engine. SC2's expectations are higher, artistically and gameplay-wise?

Smashcraft is a good one though; try it out, it's well-polished.
