Marvel DC style....
Personally, I'm a Big Doctor Doom fan.
Not Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom.
He has his own line and their all good.
For general reading....
'Superman: Red Son' series was good (Imagine Communist Superman XD)
Any of the Star Wars 'Boba Fett' books are good for bad arseness.
At the Moment The Secret Invasion is pretty dominant so I've picked up the 'Might Avengers' run
(with a large Doctor Doom segment of course)
Ravage was good.
Punisher is always cool.
Dr. Fate is the epitome of Epicness....
Pick your favorite power and go for it.

Swamp Thing from DC. The cartoon series wasn't any good. but in the comics he fights demons, cults, werewolves, robots, aliens, he even had to beat up the Batman at one point. I've only read about 10 issues but from what I've seen on the DC website it gets better as it goes along.
Marvel Zombies, I've been trying to get my hands on those comics for years, any idea where I could get them?
World War Hulk and Marvel Civil War are also fairly good reads.

Internet: Fitness videogames might be able to keep players in shape--but not if they don't play them.
