Is God a Swarm?
Is God a Swarm?
I've read an article in National Geographics that swarm of any creatures is smarter than single organism that make the swarm.
What if we are to look upon whole humanity as a form of a swarm. Could it be that We are God?
Through history we had done amazing things. We have tamed language, fire and went to the Moon. And future promises so much more. So could it be that swarm of humans in its own right is or will be a God?

Re: Is God a Swarm?
Gonna have to define 'god'. And those are 'simple' creatures. One human is smarter then a colony of ants. Basically, we'd need a...hive sort of society, for it to work and such, and we'd have to become simpler, or something....

God as an omnipresent, omni benevolent, omnipotent creature though not necessary a primal mover or primal cause of all things.
Yes you are right that is the definition.
But with globalization and its tendency for decentralization and promotion of individualism could make a form of a hive society (not all hive societies have queens you know ). Though I'm unsure how much would it be considered a hive.
I wouldn't say Facebook. I would probably say Internet or telecommunications.

Do note that some firms have implemented principles of swarm intelligence into their organization and they managed to extract some extra profit.Swarm intelligence (SI) is artificial intelligence based on the collective behavior of decentralized, self-organized systems.

Old hinduism believed that when you died, you joined a collectivity named bramahn? something like that. That idea's old, but might want to read up on wikipedia about old hinduism anyway.
