If you want/need any help playtesting them, it's no problem for me to temporarily upgrade to the 1.23b and help out (I did it accidentally earlier today...). Just say the word, and, internet permitting, I'll be over.

Speaking of this patch, I noticed that Dota released a new version, did they actually bother to update the code for this patch or what?

A map either works for the current OR the next patch, that's the big problem here. So if you see the new dota version being played on east (or any other realm besides westfall) then it can't work once 1.23b is out.

I'm not so sure, I mean, since Dota is stupidly popular still, Blizzard might have just told them ahead of time. Since I'm no genius mapper, even if I de-protect the latest version, I couldn't tell if it was "fixed" or not.

Oh I'm pretty sure that IceFrog knew of the upcoming changes before the rest of us, but that doesn't change the fact that the current version can't be "1.23b ready". A stable version requires new natives that are coming with the next patch, that's why Dusk has to go through the hassle of switching to Westfall to begin with.
The only option (which is not unlikely), is that there's already an unreleased version that works in 1.23b.

Actually, Vexorian knew about it before IceFrog. IceFrog was soon thereafter, though.

Will you also be releasing a new version of the Damage Detection System you made? I love it very very much, and would like to continue to use it :)

Nevermind, all you have to do is replace "H2I" with "GetHandleID" to adapt it to the new patch.

There's actually a lot more to it, but it may or may not apply to any of your work. If it works with just the GetHandleId swap, then great. View the later pages in this thread for more details.
