AotZ < DoE (apparently)

This is where all random discussion about AotZ goes. If it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere else but is still related to the map, this is the place to post it.

It's not hard to start one but it's rare to finish one (...grumble...grumble...cursed leavers...)

I didn't mean 6v6 as in 6 people on each team, I meant 6v6 as in the Entire bane and the Entire order in one lane, or in one area fighting. 6 Order heros and 6 Bane heros, all casting spells, all attacking, all killing and dying in a gorefest that Kharn himself would be satiated from.

Yeah, like I said, pretty epic.

Oh, yeah. I loved those in Aotz. It would usually only happen late game, particularly after somebody had screamed "OMG ASCENSION GET TO TOP NOW". Good times.

I find the spells in Doe so much more satisfying to use than AotZ, I mean just about every spell you hit someone with in DoE has a consequence, Rose's crossfire, Arro's fireball, Tornne's taint the list is endless.
Compare them to things like atrophy, Jhitas ice wave (forgotten name), even Arro Kree's creep throwing something just isn't the same.

Arro's fireball is actually one of my favourite spells just because of how meaty it is, hit someone with it and you just know it would've hurt.

so take from right now, all you need
Tomorrows a brand new start
it's a shame that, I'm happy with today

Throwing a creep, and even before that the energy pulse, hurt like a biscuit. AotZ is far more EPIC in my mind than DoE will ever be. DoE, on the other hand, is more enjoyable for me. It might not give the larger than life feel, but sometimes life is just the right size.

I've recently gotten bored of AoTZ and yearn for v1.09 DoE to achieve nirvana.

That's because all the leavers on death (hence coined by me as 'Dotanoobs') overflowed from DotA's banlists onto other AoSs, and just repeated their antics...

Dusk, add a banlist and an -apemsrtyvmkthxbai mode. Problem solved.

If I ever added an -em mode, it would start all creeps at the 10th damage/armor upgrade. The game would end a lot faster, trust me. *Snickers*

Might I suggest a mode that punished foul mouths with instant death and a humiliating requiem? People might just learn fast that stinking up a game with flames is no longer the essence of VZ :D.

I'll let your post live. ~Dusk

Your derailment of this thread is absolutely abominable, ergo I will obliterate such crap from my realm. Keep it on target, ladies.

heh, this title makes me laugh. i wonder why DoE is > than AotZ... is it because it hasnt been updated since 2006? naw that cant b why. The thing i don't like about DoE is that the creeps are > than the heros, unlike in AotZ. Hired creeps pretty much win the game for u not the work of the heros.

(btw clan AotZ is on Azeroth, not Northrend)

AotZ games don't end unless one team buys hired heroes and the other doesn't. If anything, creeps are more important in AotZ because the game doesn't end otherwise. Anyways, this is a kind of really old topic.

You know, when King and I play an AotZ game. We would fill middle with 8 turtles or zerglings. and it would take a ridiculous amount of time to finish a game still. Even though creeps are great and all for pushing and decimating a base. It's still not effective enough for it to be game-ending. Which I think is a terrible flaw that I still have to go through 2+ hours on an AotZ game where it's obviously f*cking obvious that we had a better pushing momentum than they did.

Why is there even a thread for something like this? It all comes down to personal taste in the end.

And for the record I never really hired heroes. I always bought some boots, a tele rod, and then used all my remaining money for a mule rush.

As for heroes, I always preferred AotZ's. Sure they dont have the annoyance that comes with status affects like in DoE. But they are just so epic. Magoichi Saika, Scamp, and Arke for the more flashy examples.
I'm sorry, were you saying something?
