Pre-Searing

Post by VZShadowRain » Thu Jan 24, 2008 3:58 pm

Errm, my W/Mo is level 8 now, and I don't really know of any good place to gain experience. The Charr are too strong and everything else is too weak or gives no experience.

Do any of you guys know a good place to level from levels 8 - 10-ish?

Well, obviously, if you have any quests left you can do those. At level eight there's not much besides Charr you can kill to gain experience. Oakhearts north of the wall will still give you a small amount of experience, and they're pretty easy to kill.

4 things I know of.
Do some 'Skullreaver Runs' or some 'Ice Escapades' or the cave just next to B's Estate.

The former being the Loooooooong hallway filled with Raging Cadavers, mostly lvl 3 (a few melee guys that are annoying) where the 'Prize Moa-Bird' quest takes you. Keep following the hallway and you will eventually run parallel to Oberans hallway, then juke to the left, before juking back right to fight the only 'Boss' this side of the wall (that I can think of)
Skullreaver (level 5). The view from his cubby hole is quite good I must say. Enjoy the 2% morale bonus (if your inventory isn't filled to burstin')

The latter being a very VERY VERY long walk from the Fair back to the Fair, via the ice cave/tunnel next to the Elementalist tower, through the mountains, then up the valley of bears. Most enemies are Level 3 being a majority of Ice Golems, a few Blood-Sworn, and a pile of bears. Full circle nets about 900 exp. at level 8 if I recall.

The cave is filled with about 15ish Golems (Level 3)

The fourth way sucks, but is workable if your a smidge away.
On the normal side of the wall there are a few 'higher' level critters.
Level 5 River Drake.
Level 4 Brood Skale (has Ice Spear and Spams like a sandwich)
Level 5 Oakheart (A walk away from Fort Ranik)
Level 5 'Skullreaver' (A hike and a half in the catacombs)

Hope that helps.
Cruor Vult

Hope, it is the quintessential human delusion,
simultaneously the source of our greatest strength, and our greatest weakness.

Soon we shall be One...joined in the Word.
